For this years work i have looked at the theme of identity, and how it is portrayed in the new media. I have chose to look at my space, and used this new media a s my inspiration for my 'OPEN' project. I chose to look at how much information that people show online,m and how easy it is to find out certain things about people.

I started looking at the website manual it stated that:

"Whether you want to build an audience or communicate with your closest friends, the MySpace Privacy Control Panel allows you to control what information is shared, who can contact you, how you are notified and the tools to eliminate unwanted spam.

Privacy (Edit)
Here you control who can see you are online, who knows your birthday, who can view your profile, who can share your photos and how to block specific users and users by age."

However......

I found that it was simply to easy to log-on to other peoples profiles and view their personal information, without them knowing who i am.

I then created a profile and called myself 'mystery guest' and posted a blog and asked people to send me images that are personal or in some way related to them, and also a piece of text that again describes them.

These are some of the examples that i received:

milly tripping-sent form a women in Manchester.

Becca boo boo- sent from a single mother in London, with the words

" my pride and joy"

I found that quite a few people linked and viewed my profile, but disappointingly i only received 25 images. However those that did, sent me the information i required without them knowing anything about myself.

I then posted the image3ds onto a power point along with the text, name a country or town they were from.

here are the links to the pitch and curate projects that i did..
